Dental crowns are used to strengthen a tooth that has been weakened due to decay, large fillings or breakage. Crowns can also be used to enhance the appearance of teeth that the patient feels are unattractive due to worn out or old dental work. Types of crown include all-porcelain crowns, porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns, and all-metal crowns.
